Hem and break
Plain, cuffed or blind-stitched, at the break you prefer. Bring the shoes.
Waist and seat
Let out or taken in at the center back, up to about two inches either way depending on the seam allowance.
Taper
Narrowing the leg from the knee down, or from the thigh when the cut is very full.
Rise
Adjusting how the trousers sit at the waist so they stop pulling when you sit down.
Frequently asked questions
How long do suit alterations take?
Most jacket and trouser work is ready in three to five business days. If you need it sooner, ask about rush service when you drop it off.
Can you take in a jacket that is too big in the shoulders?
Sometimes, but shoulder work is the most difficult alteration on a jacket. We will look at it and tell you honestly whether it is worth doing.
Do you hem trousers while I wait?
We do not do same-day work as a rule, but simple hems are usually ready quickly. Call ahead at (407) 715-4046.
Do you add patches or embroidery to jackets?
Yes. We do embroidery, monograms, patches and logos — useful for uniforms and work jackets.
